Sea Salt Collection : An expression of cool salty sea air on warm summer skin.
A collection of paintings inspired by a cool, cloudy, day by the sea. A color palette full of cool grays, light blues, seaglass greens, and warm neutrals hinting at the multifaceted sand. I created each painting by intentionally mixing colors first, then surrendering control of the brush on the canvas. Many of the paintings feature oil pastel details to finish.
A day warm enough for a quick dip in the water, and cool enough to cozy up in a sweatshirt after drying off. On these perfect beach days there’s not many people. There’s wide open space. The only sounds we hear are the crashing waves and floating sea birds. The air is salty. Skin golden and freckled.
